The Global Talent route is for leaders and potential leaders in specified fields, including academia or research, arts and culture, and digital technology. It replaced the old Tier 1 Exceptional Talent route. The key question is whether your achievements fit the requirements of the relevant endorsing body or an eligible prize route.
Different disciplines use different endorsement criteria and evidence. We can help establish which category needs to be considered before you invest time in assembling a portfolio. Seniority or a promising business idea alone does not establish eligibility.
Make the evidence understandable
A strong application needs more than a long CV. Relevant work, recognition, publications, awards or letters should be connected to the actual criteria. We can help organise the immigration application and identify where evidence does not yet address a requirement.
Separate endorsement and permission
Most applicants need endorsement as part of the route; endorsement and immigration permission are separate decisions. Some holders of an eligible prestigious prize can apply without endorsement. Immigration suitability requirements still apply, and dependants need their own applications where relevant.

Fees and timescales
01 / Fees
Fees and costs
We will explain the legal fees for the agreed stages. Endorsement and visa charges, the healthcare surcharge where payable and any document translation costs should be budgeted separately.
02 / Timescales
Timing and preparation
Allow time for recommendation letters and evidence from institutions or employers. Endorsement and the visa decision have separate timetables. An existing visa expiry may affect the order in which steps are taken.
Read our published Price Guide, then contact us to confirm the work you need and the costs involved.
Global Talent is not the same as an employer-sponsored work visa. Eligibility instead depends on the relevant talent or prize requirements and the other immigration rules.
Does every applicant need endorsement?
Usually. An exception may apply if you hold a prize included on the official eligible prizes list. Other awards do not automatically qualify.
Can this route lead to settlement?
It can, subject to the applicable category and continuing requirements. The qualifying period is not the same for every Global Talent applicant.
What should I send for an initial discussion?
A CV, your discipline, evidence of major achievements and your current visa details are a useful starting point. We will then identify the relevant supporting documents.
