We can assist you with all aspects of immigration law. This includes any problems concerning visiting, working, studying, settling or conducting business in the UK.

Why Choose Us for Immigration

SJS Solicitors is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme. This is awarded to firms who have an extremely thorough understanding of the UK's immigration and asylum laws. SJS Solicitors are proud to hold Level 2 membership, and our Principal Solicitor, Mrs. Sukul, holds supervisor status with over 17 years of experience fighting for her client's immigration rights. SJS Solicitors have been accredited since January 2006.

We are fully aware of the fact that the United Kingdom immigration laws are ever changing and can be very complex. It is therefore essential that you consult us for specalist legal advice before making any application that concerns any aspect of immigration law and the UK.

Judicial Review is an application that can be made to the High Court, that can only be made when all other appeal or review routes have been unsuccessful. It is the final claim that can be made for an immigration matter.

It is a costly process and there are very strict protocols to follow when filing to the High Court.
It is therefore essential that you seek specialist advice which our team is highly qualified to supply.

Possible grounds for a Judicial Review could include:

  • allocation to the fast-track asylum process
  • an unsuccessful administrative review
  • certification of a claim as unfounded
  • decisions by the Upper Tribunal to refuse permission to appeal to itself
  • declaration of illegal entry
  • delay in making a decision/failure to make a decision
  • error in terms and conditions of grant of leave
  • failure to grant permission to work to an asylum seeker
  • refusal to accept a fresh claim for asylum
  • third country removals
  • unlawful detention

SJS Solicitors have been accredited by the Law Society at both a Level 2 and a Supervisor Level for Immigration and Asylum cases and as such are very well placed to advise you in respect of a judicial review application.

It is important to note that for judicial review cases, we will only accept your matter if our team believes there is merit in proceeding with this costly application.
